11.pazos 祭神節 Worshipping Ceremony

o ya maci-tónton do dang a ya ta  ma-lavat do jia a

       其次          那裡      我們  提到       這裡  

i-ci-cirawat  ta am, pazos,

 文化,習俗     我們    祭神

接著要提到的習俗呢,是pazos,

The next tradition that we will talk about is “pazos”,

o i-pánci ta pazos am, amian so nakem ta  do tao do

    說    我們 祭神       有       心意  我們   人      

langara-en, akey ta do to koan tamo o tamo pa-pazos-an,

  仰望       祖父 我們   天  說   我們    我們  祭拜的對象

我說的pazos是,我們對上面的人,也就是我們在天上的祖父,祂是我們要表達心意的對像,

When I speak of “pazos”, I mean when we show the people up there, which would be our grandfathers in heaven. They are the ones that we worship.

ya apía o kman sia i-ci-cirawat ta do pongso iya ta,

   很好     像  這     文化,習俗  我們     島上  這  因  

anehd-an takamo do na ke-yyan no tao do to, tamo anehd-an o

相信     我們      祂   在        人      天   我們   相信    

na ke-yyan no tao do to,

祂   在        人     天

在我們這個島上,這是很好的文化習俗,我們要相信天上有神,相信神的存在,

On our island here, this is a very good cultural tradition.  We want to believe that there is a God in heaven, that God exists.

am  ji ta manic-an ori do pongso ya o “tao do to” a,

但  不 我們   說     那個    島上   這     人     天     

i-panci tamo  ori a “akey do langara-en”,

   說   我們  那個    祖父       仰望

但我們島上不說”天上的人”,而稱祂是”在上的祖父”

But we do not say “person in the sky” on this island. We call Him “our grandfather in heaven.”

mang-dey do kapittoan ya o i-pa-ta-tanang ta jia so akma

每次         月份名             獻上       我們 祂     像 

tey  nakem do tao do langara-en,

我們  心意      人       仰望

每年的kapittoan月時,我們要對在天上的祖父獻上我們的心意,

Every year, during the month of kapittoan, we will show our gratefulness to our grandfather in heaven.

o i-panci tamo jia am, “inaoy ya no pa-sowd-en mo o

    要說   我們  祂       很希望 此      使豐富    你     

kane-kan-en namen”, noká-koa pa am, amian so pa-nadnad-en

  食物       我們       以前   還       有      一併的,同時的

do dang a itoro da do komi-komiring da, sowd-en da i-toro

   那裡     給  他們        祖先      他們   獻祭  他們  給 

da  jira,

他們 他們

我們要跟祂說, “多麼希望你能使我們的食物豐饒”,以前,在此同時也會準備祭來祭拜祖先,

We will tell him, “how we hope that you would make our food plentiful.” Before, we would also prepare to worship our ancestors.

sicia-ikoa ya, do da i-pa-naraley rana so Yeso ya am, ya

   現今     這     他們   信仰               耶穌  這 

aro rana o ya ni-m-vonas so sang, am ya tey-es ka ili pa

很多             摒棄         那個  但     某些      部落 還

          某些      教會   還    它 還  在     他們 不  捨棄 

ori a,  da pa-tanang-en do nakem da so tao do langara-en a,

那個    他們     獻祭         心意 他們    人       仰望的

現代,信了耶穌以後,很多節慶儀式都漸漸的消失了,但還有些部落……, 有些教會對於獻祭給天上的人的儀式,仍保留著沒有摒除掉,

Now, after believing in Jesus, many of the traditional celebrations have disappeared, but some tribes…, some churches still keep and do not give up these sacrifices to the people in the sky.

  他們  摒棄       他們  給          祖先       他們  那個

ni-ma-vonas, so ya na i-ka-pía no nia, ya to ng-ái

  捨棄              它   使很好     這個    一直  在   

sicia-ikoa ya, ya dá  pa vangon-en a vazey a i-ci-cirawat

  現今      這    他們  還    振興       事情    文化,習俗

我們     島上

他們摒除的是祭祖先的那個部份,所以這個習俗不錯,到現在仍保有傳統的習俗,

The part that they have gotten rid of is the ancestor worship, so this tradition is very good, and we still hold these traditional customs even now.
