1.父:o ipanci a zomiak am, o ciring no tao do to am,

    主格  稱    繫  巫師   助  主格  話   屬格 人 處格 天 助

   mitotoaw do ngongoy no tao am ori.

     出來     處格   嘴    屬格 人  助 那樣

    [譯:所謂Zomiak,就是神的話藉由某人的口中說出來]

    Zomiak is the words of god spoken through someone.

 

2.o ipanci a makahaw koan na am, ji mancian ori

  主格 稱    繫  先知      說  它  助   不    叫     那個

    a zomiak, ta no mian so ingingnen da am, ....,

     繫 巫師     因 若   有  斜格   疾病    他們 助

    to da  na haw   o kapia na karahet na no makahaw.

    就  他們 已 預知 主格  好    他  不好     他 屬格  先知

    [譯:所謂makahaw,就是有人生病的時候,他可以能預知病者的病可治好

或治不好;但他們不被稱作是zomiak]

Makahaw is someone who can know before hand whether the sick person can be healed or not. However, they are not called zomiak.

 

3.adoa  o  ipanci da mamahad koan da,

   兩個 主格 叫,稱  他們  先知     說  他們

    o ipanci  a mamahad am,

    主格 稱,叫 繫  先知     助

    “ko ipamhapahad imo a linong no kataotao a,

      我    為..卜卦    你  繫    ?    屬格  身體     助

    a no ko ileylamdamenam, ji ka apia a,

     助 若 我     試探               你   好   助

    ko ileylamdamen am, ji lahet a”

     我    試探         助   不   好   助

[譯:他們說的mamahad有兩種;他們說的mamahad就是,他會說

”我為你的病探測(卜卦)的結果,你是可治好的;或說,你是治不好的”]

They say that there are two kinds of mamahad. They will either say, “I have come up with a conclusion to your sickness. You can be healed,” or he can say, “You can’t be healed.”

 

4.asa o manehed a bedbedan no tao do  to,

   一 主格  真的   繫   附身    屬格 人  處格 天

    o ipanci a zomiak am, no mi sia rarahen am,

   主格 稱,叫  繫  巫師   助   若  去 他們   邀請    助

    ji sia ziak sira ori, ta abo pa  o  mosok jira

     不 他們 講話  他們  那個  因  沒有 還 主格 下來   他們

    a mapagalagal sira ori am, ji sia pa miziziak,

    繫    使講話     他們  那個 助   不  他們 還   講話

    [譯:一個真正被天神附身的人叫zomiak; 當邀請他們來家裡時,

     在天神尚未附在他們身上時,他們是不說話的”

A person really possessed by a person from the sky is called zomiak. When they are invited to come to someone’s house, they will not talk before the person from the sky possesses them.

 

5.no zomizk rana sira do mahep am,

   當  講話    已經  他們 處格 晚上  助

    no abo o meyngen am, aro  o  tao a omamizing sira,

     若 無  主格  生病   助   很多 主格 人 繫      聽    他們

    no mi da rarahen sira ori    no meyngen am,

     當 去 他們  邀請    他們  那個 屬格 生病的   助

    abo o  tao a mangay jira, ta mi da pa raraen sira,

     無 主格 人  繫   去     他們   因 去 他們 還  邀請   他們

    ya ji ngian so ya meyngen do vahay da koan da am,

     助      有   斜格 助  生病的  處格  家  他們   說 他們  助

    abo o omamizing sia,

     無 主格  聽         他

    [譯:他們zomiak發生的時間通常是在晚間,若沒有人生病,就會集結

    很多人來聽他講話; 但若是被病人家屬所邀請,則沒有人會跟隨去聽他

    講什麼話, 人們總是會這麼想,”他們會邀請他,想必一定是家裡有人生

    病了”,因此在這樣的情況下,不會有人去聽他說什麼。

Zomiaks usually happen at night. If there is no one sick, then many people will come to hear them speak. If they are invited by the family of the sick, then no one will go listen to them speak because they will think, “If they invite him, then there must be someone sick in their house.” If this is the case, then no one will go listen to what they have to say.

 

6.no toda kaiai nira ori no zomizk am,

   若  就   隨意來  他們 那個 屬格 巫師   助 

    abo o manci nira am, aro  o  tao a omamizing sia,

     無 主格 叫    他們  助   很多 主格 人 繫      聽     他

    [譯:如果是巫師自己來的,而不是被人請去的話,就會很多人去聽他講話]

If the wizard comes by himself without being invited, then many people would go listen to him.

 

7.no mihekas sira o medbed jira ori am,

  若    降臨   他們  主格 附身  他們  那個 助     

   mianoanood sira ori, aro    o  ipanci da jia,

       唱歌      他們  那個  很多 主格  告訴  他們  他   

    no mateyka rana sira mianoanood am,

     當   結束    已經  他們       唱歌       助  

    “ji mo alawan o  anak mo, ta kangay na”

      不 你   擔心  主格 孩子 你   因   維持   他

   koan na, ori  o  ipanci a zomiak a.

     說   他   那個 主格  講    繫   巫師  助

    [譯:當他們mivikhas的時候,他們就會唱歌,聽眾也會詢問很多的

    事請,當他們唱完了歌以後,他會告訴某人說,”你不用擔心,你的孩子

    不會怎麼樣,你放心吧”]

When they mivikhas, they will sing. The listeners will ask many questions. After they finish singing, they will tell someone, “Don’t worry, your son will be fine. Don’t worry.”

 

8.no kiwakwakan da  sira  o  mai do kataotao ori am,

   若    治好      他們 他們 主格  來  處格  本人    那個 助

    no mian so miviniay sira tao am, ipangap da  sira

     若  有  斜格  有豬羊的  他們  人  助    為之宰殺 他們 他們

    so viniay o nirara dang, no abo o viniay da am,

    斜格  豬   主格 邀請的 那時    若  無 主格  豬   他們 助

    ikongo o itoro da jira?  To da mantan sira so gizit

      什麼  主格 給   他們 他們    就他們  給付   他們 斜格 碎金片

    a nakem da sira,

     繫 心意 他們 他們

    [譯:如果被巫師看病的人好了的話,有豬羊的人就殺豬羊作酬謝,沒有

    豬羊的人沒得給就只好給碎金片表示心意]

If the person the wizard goes to see gets better, then the people with pigs and sheep will kill pigs or sheep to thank them. People without pigs or sheep will have to give them a piece of gold to thank them.

 

9.ori   o  karo no tamtamek da nira ori,

   那個 主格 很多 屬格 金片     他們 他們 那些

    ta manamod  o  makakaday a mantan nira,

     因   不得了  主格  每一件   繫   給付   他們

    inana toroan da sira ori am, niaro na o pzapzatan

      全是   給付  他們 他們 那些  助   最多   它 主格  財產

    no zomiak ori a, no makekdeng a vazay da.

    屬格 巫師   那個 助  若   很重要的  繫  工作  他們

    [譯:所以巫師是多金的人, 想想看,一個個案就收到一個謝禮,他的財產

    怎會不多? 因為他們這工作是很重要的(嚴肅的)]

Therefore, wizards are people with a lot of money. Think about it. If each time he goes to someone he gets a gift, wouldn’t he have a lot of property? This is because their job is very important (very solemn).

 

10.am aro  o   ji macipayok a ciring da nira ori,

   但  很多 主格 不   成         繫  話    他們 他們 那些

    aro o macipayok a ciring da,  ori  o ipanci a zomiak,

    很多 主格  成       繫  話    他們  那個 主格  叫   繫  巫師

    [譯:但巫師有很多的話也不全然很準確,他們講的話有些是確實的,但也有

    不對的,這就是zomiak]

However, the words of the wizards are not always correct. Even though they often say the right things, they will also say the wrong things. This is zomiak.

 

11.o ipanci a makahaw  am,

   主格 稱,叫 繫   先知    助

    no mangay panci sira ori ori am,

    若    去      叫    他們  那些 那個 助

    ”ya  ko toda haw rana o  anak mo ya ..., 

      助  我   就   預知 已經 主格 孩子 你 這

    ya  ko toda haw rana mo nipinanan a ya malahet am,

     助  我   就  預知  已經 你    摸了      繫 助  不好     助

    ji mo I minani ori a”, aro makahaw,

     不 你     摸     那個 助   很多   先知

    [譯:至於所謂的makahaw, 當去請他們來時,他會說,”我已感應你的

    孩子很..., 我已感應到你摸的那個已經不好了,你不要摸那個...”,

    所以也有很多人有預知的能力。]

As for makahaw, when they are invited to come, they will say, “I feel your child is very…, I can feel that the place that you are touching will not get better. Do not touch there…” Therefore many people will have the ability to see the future.

 

12.ipanangangay jira ori  o “ikongo namen...,

        詢問       他們  那個 主格  什麼   我們

    ikongo o 問題namen?” Koan da, aro...,

     什麼  主格     我們      說  他們  很多

    ori  o  mi  da raran so makahaw, “ya nimakongo ya?

    那樣 主格 去 他們 邀請  斜格 先知       助    怎麼了   這

    ya pia pa a nokapnezak am, ya na moli am,

     助 很好 還 繫   今早       助   助  他  回家 助

    ya na to mivalivaliat a ya ma-生病” koan da am,

     助 他  就    翻滾         繫 助  生病

    ori   o  raran da sia....(錄音帶B面結束)

    那樣 主格 邀請   他們 他

    [譯:詢問他們”我們為什麼...,我們到底出了什麼問題?”都是問他們

    這類問題。他們邀請先知說,”他是怎麼了,早上還好好的,怎麼一回家來

     就開始地上翻滾? 生病了”他們說,所以才叫他們(巫師)來的]

You would ask them, “Why are we…what happened to us?” These are the kinds of questions that are asked. When they ask a prophet, they say, “What is wrong with him (her)? He (she) was fine in the morning. Why did he (she) start rolling around on the floor when he (she) got home today? He (she) is sick.” They say this, so this is the reason they ask them (the wizards) to come.
