As for catching birds, first of all, they must go into the mountains to pick niket (tree sap) and beat it like millet.

After they finish beating the tree sap, they will take the bamboo container filled with tree sap back into the mountain. They will then collect some vines and tear them into strips. They will cut off the meat of the vines and sharpen the tips so that it looks like a large string separator used in weaving.
